I'll begin. The rapture is the sudden absence of a person from this earth. I believe this text covers most bases: 2 Corinthians –8 (AV). 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:5/5(1). Its as ludicrous as saying someone knows the date of the rapture (only God knows). The rapture is an event that can happen but the "full number of the gentiles" must first be reached as well as the word of God must be carried to every corner of the earth. At least those 2 important criteria must be fulfilled before the rapture can take place.
